About Us

It started with two & More....

My grandparents owned and ran a restaurant in Fernandina Beach, FL named "Dorsey's" after my grandfather Dorsey Arnold. When he and my grandmother Lucille Arnold passed away my Aunt Patsy Ennis keep it running for a few years. I remember being so proud of our family owned restaurant and how many people were employed and loved my family. I was sad when it was sold and I've had an entrepreneur mindset from a young age even though it seemed to be out of reach and not a possibility for me. I married at a young age began having children while we were working through college together studying education and music. Through relationships at church in 2005 I was introduced to the mattress and furniture industry for Mattress Firm after working mostly in warehouses, call centers and clothing or mobile phone retail. I enjoyed the constant training and learned a lot about sleep and how we are effected by it. It was long hours and I had to travel back and forth to stores in Daytona, Ormond Beach, Mandrin, Phillips highway and other parts of Jacksonville so I eventually gave notice and found a different job. After a few years other retail positions I was reunited with a new mattress company opening in Jacksonville named Mattress Giant and I was again consulting people about mattresses and sleep. I worked long hours and six to seven days a week until HHGregg recruited me to assist as a Sales Manager. I was again working long hours and spending most of my life away from my wife and now I had six children who rarely spent time with there father. I made a choice to step away and became a full time saxophone player making a financial sacrifice to be with my family. It was good for several years although we were struggling with bills and old vehicles. My wife was suffering from severe sleep apnea and in June 2013 it took her life. I had a couple of years that I was in a very dark and lonely place. I was depressed and my children didn't have the type of father that they deserved. I had to make changes and I did, I went back to work for Mattress Firm. I was with friends that I knew from the industry and I had structure and a tough mentor Richard Preston that wouldn't allow me to get off track. I was becoming successful again. In my second year back with The Firm I was introduced to Rosemary Hayward who was working at Mattress Firm too and without much of an explanation we fell for each other and got married. Rosemary and I both knew that we needed to spend more time together and my children deserved our time and love. We had an opportunity to leave the corporate world and help build a small local business selling mattresses and furniture. We now have taken another leap of faith to pursue that entrepreneur dream I had as a young man and I have an amazing wife with that same drive and a wonderful family to connect with to do what can truly make a difference not only in our lives but others. We are so Blessed and humble to be able to serve you as a Mattress and Furniture store. Thank you and God Bless!
